Walgreens Web Pickup — Fast and Easy! #CBias

Walgreens is introducing a great new service called Walgreens Web Pickup. I got to try it out yesterday, and I will definitely be using it again. It was fast, easy, and I didn’t have to drag the kids through the store or send my husband with a list and hope he came back with what I wanted. Sometimes, especially in bad weather, it’s just too hard to take these little nut jobs to the store.

Here’s how it works. Just go to Walgreens Web Pickup online or through the Walgreens mobile app. I used the mobile app, and it was really simple.

Just choose your store, some of which even have curbside pickup so you don’t even have to get out of the car! This is great for when your kids fall asleep on the way to the store like mine always do.

Then, just search for the products you want, add them to your cart, and checkout. You can use your Walgreens.com account or create a new one. You can also designate a phone number so that you’ll receive a text message when your order is ready. And you can designate a pickup person. I love this feature because Walgreens is on the way home from my husband’s work. So, I can place an order and have him pick it up in the evening—something I really wish I had known about last month when the kids and I were all sick!

You can pay online or on the app with a credit card, but they won’t actually charge your card until you pickup your items. Then they’ll give you a pickup window. Mine was from 4pm Friday all the way until Sunday. So, if for some reason you can’t make it to the store, your items will still be there the next day. And when your order is ready, they’ll send you an email and a text message. Once you get to the store, just head to the Photo desk where they’ll have your bag(s) waiting for you.

They will print out your receipt and scan your Balance Rewards card. Or, if you want, you can change the method of payment at the time. Then just grab your bag and head out the door. We ordered some conditioner, body wash, gripe water, and Haribo Twin Cherries (for my husband. They’re his favorite and Walgreens is the only place that carries them here). We didn’t need anything particularly urgent this time, but the next time the boys are sick or I get a cold, this will definitely come in handy. I can order exactly the medicine I need or anything else to help us feel better and my husband won’t have to hunt around to find it for us. Walgreens Web Pickup is a great service and I’m very glad I got to learn about it!
